Article Publication Charges (APC)
Acta Mores: Jurnal Hukum dan Sosial Humaniora operates as an open-access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers. To sustain high-quality editorial, peer‑review, and production processes, the journal may apply an Article Publication Charge (APC) to manuscripts that are accepted for publication. This fee is used exclusively to support services such as online submission and review management, professional copyediting and typesetting, DOI registration, long-term digital archiving, and website maintenance.
No fees are charged at the submission stage, and the APC is only payable after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted by the editorial board. The APC does not influence editorial or peer‑review decisions; manuscripts are evaluated solely on their scholarly quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope, in line with international best practices for ethical publishing. Detailed information on the current APC amount, payment methods (such as bank transfer or online payment), and applicable taxes will be clearly displayed on the journal’s website and communicated to the corresponding author together with the acceptance notification.
Recognizing disparities in research funding and institutional resources, Acta Mores is committed to a transparent and fair waiver and discount policy, particularly for authors from low‑ and lower-middle-income countries or those without funding support. Authors who are unable to pay the APC may request a partial or full waiver at the time of submission, providing a brief justification; such requests will be considered confidentially and will not affect the editorial or peer‑review process. The journal may also offer fee reductions for authors who actively contribute to the journal community—for example, by serving as reviewers—or for articles that are deemed to have exceptional scientific or strategic value for the development of the journal.
